I Can't Believe It!
I am so excited. Today I reached a huge milestone in my writing career- -I had my first literary agent meeting! I am so blessed to not just meet with any agent but the agent of Rick Warren's mega best seller The Purpose Driven Life --- Bucky Rosenbaum. Bucky drove up from Orange County to meet with me in Santa Barbara, at the Brown Pelican. I was stoked. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the publishing world, a literary agent is someone who sells your book to publishers on your behalf. For any insp
iring author it is always a thrill and priveledge to have someone from the world of publishing actually interested enough in your work to want to represent it to the big publishers.I was thrilled to learn that of all the projects that Bucky is being inundated with, he would consider my project an “A” list priority project. He mentioned he would be honored to rep my work and felt that my project was worthy of a large advance. He also felt that the large NY publishing houses would also be interested in purchasing and marketing my book.
It is only prudent to interview several agents before making a decision, so I will meet with several other agents before making a final decision.
My first meeting surpassed my expectations and I couldn’t think more highly of Bucky. I'm grateful for the time he spent with me!
I am having a blast, getting so excited and feeling incredibly blessed!

A soon to become a blogger as a result of lunch with Deyl.
I love it...and can't wait for you to outshine Katie Curic as you promo your book on every morning show around. You and Deyl are so blessed, as are we to share in your joys.

Georgio (Bumatay),
I am so glad that we got connected. Thank you for your encouragement, it means a lot to me.
If everything goes on schedule the book should be available in bookstores winter 2007.
I enjoyed your blog as well. I love to see photographers that can capture people's emotions.
Rock on!
