Cast Your Vote!

The way to grow our lives is to model the lives of those people who are already succeeding. It's powerful, it's fun and it's stimulating.

I've become a full time hunter of excellence, constantly seeking out the leading men and women that are creating profound results in their jobs and lives.

I was recently reflecting on how wonderful it is that I get to discover the latest thinking as well as stay abreast of current business trends as part of my job.

Then I thought... everyone should be able to do this!

So I came up with an idea of how to better connect people with ideas...for FREE. My idea is to provide people with one executive summary a month from a national best-selling business or personal development book. I can send it via email to anyone who would like it.

You see, I know lots of you are really busy and proabably don't get to read everything you would like but you also know education must be an ongoing process (especially in today's world).

Also did you know that statistics show that less than 10 percent of people who buy a book never read beyond the first chapter? What an unbelievable waste!

Therefore, I hope you will take an advantage of this FREE way to become more effective, inspired and educated.

I wanted to get your opinion of what book would be of MOST interest to you for our first executive summary. Of the following books the first 6 are CURRENTLY on the New York Times best-selling list and the last 2 are great classics. If there is another book you have been meaning to read but just can't find the time, I'd love to know the title!

Work Hard. Play Hard.

I'm a big believer in working hard and playing hard...and playing hard is exactly what I did last weekend.

Last Friday night, 8 of my girlfriends (from left to right --- me, Shelley Vincent, Amy Nave, Vanessa Felts, Amy Eddy, Healther Meuer, Anna Quinlan, Med Stichter and Shyla Dalirifar) and I went to Beverly Hills to whoop it up and have fun in style for an all-girls weekend.

The night started with cocktails and appetizers at Regent Beverly Wilshire, then to Kate Mantilini's for dinner, to the hotel for cake, girly games and finished the night/morning with dancing at Element .

On Saturday, we headed to Burke Williams Spa in West Hollywood for a spa day which was incredibly pampering.

The two days were amazingly fun and rejuvenating. Everyone came out of their shell, shaked their booty and shared their funniest and most embarrassing stories.
A big thanks to all my girls for making it a weekend to remember and for always being such wonderful friends in my life.

A special thanks too to my amazing husband, Deyl whose generosity made it possible for us all.

When you have great friends to enjoy life with you become stronger. Great friends allow you to be yourself and to be your best.

I'm already excited for the next girlfriend getaway!

Clowning Around

What does cotton candy, balloons and a jump house have to do with my work? One thing: Dr. Patch Adams.

Vanessa and I got to visit Patch speaking in Malibu. The conference organizer made a point to make the event full of fun including everything from make-your-own sundaes, to balloon hats to a jump-house obstacle course! She out did herself and Vanessa and I enjoyed ever minute of it. (Do I really get paid to do this?)

I'm always so inspired to be around Patch. He always challenges my thinking and my attitude.
I am incredibly blessed to be working for such a great man and have a wonderful associate who makes the journey so much fun.
Here's a picture of Vanessa in her giraffe hat and me in my flamingo hat just to prove it was another hard day in the office. Ha, ha!

Patch-ie!

Tomorrow I will be meeting Patch-ie, otherwise known as Dr. Patch Adams in Malibu . Many of you know that in addition to my book, I also represent Patch exclusively for speaking engagements.
I'm especially excited about tomorrow because Vanessa Felts, my assistant will be meeting Patch for the first time! Vanessa helps out a lot with his business so it will be great for them to finally meet in person.
Patch is speaking at conference in Malibu, so we are driving down for the day to be with him.
This is a picture taken when I visited him at the Gesundheit Hospital.
He is an extraordinary person and I feel incredibly blessed to be working with him! I give thanks everyday for the amazing opportunity.

Where Are You Going?

Yesterday, I was talking with a friend who knows she’s not where she wants to be in life. She asked herself out loud “How did I get here?”

I believe that she is not alone in having this feeling. In fact too many people are waking up in the morning asking themselves that painful question.

I've been reading Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins, and couldn't agree more with him, when he says that most people "hop into the river of life without ever really deciding where they want to go or where they want to end up. So, before they know it they get caught up in a current: current events, current fears, current challenges".

I tell you the truth. I have talked to 25 of the world’s top achievers and zero of them got to where they were by being ambiguous. 100% of them got there by being focus, intentional and aware.

Without an anchor of our own unique vision, we’ll get sucked into the many currents of life. It's scary that many of us make majority of our decisions unconsciously. If we really want to create powerful results in our life, we are going to have to start to take control.

But how do we turn things around if we’re caught up in the impetus of a rampant stream? Set a course for where you really want to go, and have a plan or map so that you can make quality decisions along the way that will align yourself with own unique vision. Get in touch with what you really want....and be honest....really honest.

Speaking to 600 Women in Dallas, Texas

Check it out! I just got booked as the keynote speaker to address 600 woman in Dallas, Texas!

Yesterday was my birthday. In reflecting on the year, I realized that one year ago, I secured my first big interview and this year I'm speaking about it to 600 women.

I feel blessed to be on this journey. I feel even more grateful for the amazing people who have made it possible along the way.

Motivation For Young Students

"If you and I will inspire the people with whom we come in contact to a realization of the hidden treasures they possess we can do far more than change people. We can literally transform them!" - Dale Carnegie

Yesterday, I visited a Goleta 6th grade class and spoke to them about the power of believing in themselves, their dreams and overcoming hardship.
I was asked to come and speak by Erin Morales, their teacher after meeting at a dinner party. She thought it would be great for her 6th graders especially since many of the students came from low-income families and difficult backgrounds.
It was great! The kids get it. Many of the kids stated that they wanted to get started on living their dreams today. I suggested they find mentors of people who they would like to "grow up" and be like.
It was a powerful, fun-packed day and I am glad I had the opportunity to share some stories and insights with her class. My goal was to inspire them to realize "the hidden treasures they possess".
Here is a short clip of the kids jumping off their chairs saying... "I can do it!" It look like anarchy but the truth is, I believe we really connected.

No Wonder...

No wonder I like traveling. I get to meet cool people like Kenneth Cole, order breakfast in bed, get to tour a new city and ...write it all off as a business expense.

Love to Travel

I am on my way home from a great trip to Canada. I got to meet and conduct an interview with Kenneth Cole. He's a down-to-earth guy who's humble and funny. The interview started with him asking me "what page are you on Paige?" ...I gave him a big eye roll and told him "I've never heard that one before". We both laughed and it was a fun interview. He attributes thinking outside the lines to be a significant part of his success as well as his no failure option determination.

I also had the TREAT to experience Tony Robbins live. The man is a master and I admire his charisma and the way he is able to help people do the things they SO badly want to do but for many reasons don't do. My read was that he is not so much a "flim flam man" as he is sterotyped but understands people really well.

I would love to shadow Tony and learn from him. I would love to learn to be a master presenter like him. Hmmm....

I'll share some pictures when I get back to the states.

I love traveling.

Ottawa, Canada is beautiful. They have a 5 mile Canal that is frozen over and many people ice skate to work. Everyone speaks french here. It's enchanting and cute place.

Cheers!
