Why Is Everyone Going To Dublin?
No vacancy. Booked. No availability. The words “no room” marched on like an unrelenting drummer.Okay, okay, I know we are totally last-minute procrastinators to be looking for a room for tomorrow night, but why is everything from Hostels to The Four Seasons booked in Dublin for the next three days straight? After what seemed like an endless search, many philosophical debates (that shouldn’t have been philosophical) and enough keyboard tapping to give you arthritics, we finally did find a place in downtown Dublin, thanks to www.LateRooms.com.
So, what is it? Is the Guinness really t-h-a-t good?
Anyways, we are off to Dublin for a three-day trip, to find out what’s so hot with the Irish.

Have lots-o-fun! Make sure to walk through St. Stephens Green or something like that.... I love a good park and that one has free Shakespeare plays. And based on your last post, I think that a free Shakespeare play might be fitting for your weekend!
Not sure.... maybe this?

Regardless, have fun!! :)
Just a shot in the dark and after all your philosophical debates you may have already thought of this but I was just thinking that the first line in your previous post might answer the question in the first line of this post.
:)
Chris - I think your CNN find and DJ - your observation likely were big contributing factors. Once we got there we also learned that Celine Dion has a huge concert and that Monday was a bank holiday. Still you would think that Steve Jobs was giving away free iphones or something. We had a blast! Lesley- we made it to a couple beautiful parks. However, once we showed up to Dublin, the free stuff was over.
i spent about a month in Ireland & even though i was "under-aged" then it was quite obvious that the Irish knew how to have a good time. your post has me craving a rerun!
glad you had a good time.
